At Home Shellac

I recently picked up the Sally Hansen shellac kit. I can't rave enough about it! I wasn't happy with the color of the strips that came in my kit above (they were super light), so I picked up the Sensational gel polish as well. With the easy to follow instructions, you too will be able to get your at home shellac nails. Plus keeping that $30 you would spent at the salon in your wallet :)

Step 1: Prep your nails. File, clip and remove any polish & oils your nails may have.

Step 2: Grab yourself a bottle of Red Carpet Manicure "Structure". This will be a base coat for your nails and will allow the polish to stick to your nail bed and make your polish last much longer.

Step 3: (This is where the Sally Hansen kit comes into play) Use the black light from your kit and cure your base coat for 30-60sec. They will remain tacking, DO NOT remove the tackiness.

Step 4: Paint your nails with the Sensational nail color you have picked out. One coat worked for me, but is should depend on the color. The color I used was "Sugar Plum". Once painted, again cure your nails.

Step 5: Finish off your nails with the top coat. I recommend just one coat. Again, cure nails after.

There you have it! Your at home shellac nails just in time for the warmer months. This is perfect for keeping your nails looking shiny and great for weeks.
